Occupational Therapy

It aims to treat many behaviors and patterns:
• Sensory input disorders (touch - sounds - lighting)
• Difficulties in motor skills and balance
• Difficulties in everyday activities (dressing and eating etc.)
• Difficulties in fine motor skills (pen-grasping, writing quality and use of scissors etc.)
• Hyperactivity and attention deficit disorders (ADD)
• Difficulties in visual motor skills (drawing paths between lines - copying numbers and shapes etc.)
• Difficulties in visual cognitive skills (matching, distinguishing sizes, assembling puzzles etc.)
• Difficulties in motor planning (following verbal directions, starting activities and completing serial tasks etc.)

Studies show little evidence for popular ASD treatments like diets, herbs, and oxygen therapy. More research is needed on potential benefits.

Building Skills for Success.

At our center, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate fully in daily life. Occupational therapy (OT) plays a crucial role in helping individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop the skills they need to thrive.
